Participants in this group are all direct male descendants of sons of Jonas Hill whose names are shown with the DNA results, except #32188, a direct descendant of Henry Hill and the only know brother of Jonas Hill. Each participant’s lineage is based on family histories and primary source documents proving that Jonas Hill was their ancestor, except #3990. This participant’s initial research indicating that Jonas was his ancestor (based on a preponderance of evidence), has now been substantiated by these DNA results. Three of the descendants of Jonas Hill show a mutational change at "Marker 9" which, according to research by forensic scientist, tends to have a fast mutational rate and may be discounted when all other markers match. The only other mutational changes, as shown in "Marker 21" (#6988 & #10236), are within the range of statistical probabilities for DNA transmissions and occurred somewhere down the line of descent. Therefore, based on the DNA results of participants in this group, it appears that Jonas Hill’s DNA characteristics have remained basically unchanged within his direct line of male descendants.
